Be Prepared: Gay Men With Boy Scouts In Tents

Posted On:

By J. Matt Barber

I said it was coming. Many of us did. Two years ago this week the Boy Scouts of America voted to welcome into its ranks “open and avowed” homosexuality (boy-on-boy sexual attraction and behavior), thereby disavowing the “morally straight” Scout Oath its members are sworn to uphold.

Shortly thereafter I warned, “In so doing, the [Boy Scouts of America (BSA)] effectively waived the only legal defense it once had to preclude openly homosexual Scout leaders and gender-confused girls from its ranks: religious and moral conviction. It’s only a matter of time until the BSA is forced to capitulate to sexual extremists’ political demands and allow homosexual adults, men who define their identity based upon carnal appetites for other males, to take your boys on overnight camping trips.”

The Muslims of Early America: Islam As American as the Rodeo

Posted On:

By PETER MANSEAUFEB

IT was not the imam’s first time at the rodeo.

Scheduled to deliver an invocation at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo last week, Moujahed Bakhach of the local Islamic Association of Tarrant County canceled his appearance because of the backlash brought on by a prayer he had offered a few days before. The imam had been asked to confer a blessing on horses, riders and members of the military. He was met with gasps from the audience and social media complaints: “Outraged at a Muslim prayer at an all American event!” “Cowboys don’t want it!”

Message of Ayatollah Khamenei To the Youth in Europe and North America

Message of ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of The Islamic Republic of Iran In the name of God, the Beneficent the Merciful To the Youth in Europe and North America, The recent events in France and similar ones in some other Western countries have convinced me to directly talk to you about them. I am addressing you, [the youth], not because I overlook your parents, rather it is because the future of your nations and countries will be in your hands; and also I find that the sense of quest for truth is more vigorous and attentive in your hearts.

Blood shedding ritual of Tatbir in Ashura: Is it Islamic?

Posted On:

In the name of Allah, the Merciful to all, the Compassionate

Tatbir (Arabic) and Zanjeer Zani (Persian) are amongst a set of bloody rituals that are performed by some Shiite Muslims in commemoration of the great tragedy of Karbala, when the family of the Holy Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) was massacred. Such blood shedding rituals are historically not a part of Shiite Islam, and were never practiced by the founders and teachers of Shiite. There is not a single shred of evidence that the later Imams performed such blood rituals. Moreover, the most prominent Shiite scholars declare such rituals either as outright Haraam (forbidden), or in a less provocative tone, just something they do not recommend. So this question remains unanswered when such rituals are against wisdom and common sense, and there is no religious basis to support them: why people do not cease practicing them?

Was The Safavid Dynasty the First Shi'a one?

In the name of Allah, the Merciful to all, the Compassionate

Nowadays, you would hear the word Safavid used extensively in arguments, because Syrian insurgents, ISIL, Al-Qaeda, Wahhabis, and many others attribute whatever they do not like to Safavids. The Safavid dynasty collapsed in 1722 AD, and many other dynasties came to power and fell since that time.

The Safavid policy was to draw a line between their territory and other neighbors like the Ottoman, so they adopted Shi'ism as the official faith. After the Safavids, Nader Shah, the great conqueror who was expanding his territory, espoused the Sunni faith to face less challenges in conquered Sunni-majority lands, and banned certain Shi'a practices which were particularly offensive to Sunnis.

A JESUIT Priest In Charge of Religious Freedom

Today I came across a piece of news which reads “President Obama appoints a Jesuit Priest to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom”! I have no idea how much people know about Jesuits (the Society of Jesus also known as Soldiers of Christ). But one thing that I can assure you is they do not want anything to do with Religious Freedom. Their definition of religious freedom is “do as I say”.

George Bush Called Hitler a Failed Painter - Karma and Lessons to Learn

Today I read about a hacker named Guccifer, who wormed into the computer of the 43rd US president’s sister, and published some of his paintings and some other private details. Two of the paintings of former President Bush, which show him bathing, were quite amateur. There is nothing shameful about being an amateur or unskilled painter. Most of us do the best we can with almost no natural gifts, and only the desire to do what we do. But in George’s case it’s a little bit different.

Shia-Sunni Strife: Sectarian Violence or More?

Posted On:

In the name of Allah, the Merciful to all, the Compassionate

Sunni-Shia hostility has existed for the last 14 centuries - an unsettled problem that nobody can deny. The majority of the disagreements and the sectarian division started immediately after the demise of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH). For the most part of history, the sects coexisted in harmony and peace despite the occasional disagreement and violence. Never before has the violence been this widespread and brutal.
