Russia’s Missile Wall in Iran

Posted On:

By: Tony Cartalucci

The popular narrative surrounding the conflict between the West and Iran has always been one of a dangerous rogue state bent on obtaining nuclear weapons before triggering a nuclear-fueled Armageddon aimed at Israel. Underneath this elementary propaganda, lies a more complex truth underpinning a proxy conflict between East and West.

20 Embarrassing Phrases Even Smart People Misuse

Source: inc.com

Even reputable websites have been caught screwing up these idioms, which spell check often doesn't find.

When you hear someone using grammar incorrectly do you make an assumption about his or her intelligence or education? There's no doubt that words are powerful things that can leave a lasting impression on those with whom you interact. In fact, using an idiom incorrectly or screwing up your grammar is akin to walking into a meeting with messy hair. That's according to Byron Reese, CEO of the venture-backed internet startup Knowingly. The company recently launched Correctica, a tool that scans websites looking for errors that spell checkers miss. And the business world is no exception. "When I look for these errors on LinkedIn profiles, they're all over the place--tens of thousands," he says.

The Muslims of Early America: Islam As American as the Rodeo

Posted On:

By PETER MANSEAUFEB

IT was not the imam’s first time at the rodeo.

Scheduled to deliver an invocation at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo last week, Moujahed Bakhach of the local Islamic Association of Tarrant County canceled his appearance because of the backlash brought on by a prayer he had offered a few days before. The imam had been asked to confer a blessing on horses, riders and members of the military. He was met with gasps from the audience and social media complaints: “Outraged at a Muslim prayer at an all American event!” “Cowboys don’t want it!”

Spare Parts Overcharges: That's Why DoD's Budget is So High

Posted On:

More than 30 years after the $7,600 coffee pot and the $436 hammer, weapon spare parts overcharges remain the clearest example of how the Department of Defense (DoD) wastes billions in taxpayer dollars. Numerous audits by the DoD Inspector General (IG) have unearthed Boeing overcharging up to 177,000 percent for spare parts, Sikorsky charging $2,393 for a $181 Black Hawk part, Hamilton Sundstrand increasing part prices by as much as 900 percent, and other examples of outrageous overcharges. But understanding the scope of the problem becomes harder when the Pentagon’s independent watchdog redacts the true scale of the overcharges, and preventing it is impossible as long as the DoD is forced to use an ill-defined definition of commercial items.

Canada’s Zero-Tolerance for Criticizing Israel

Posted On:

In the name of Allah, the Merciful to all, the Compassionate

Yep! That’s what Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney told at the UN General Assembly on Thursday:

"Canada has taken a zero-tolerance approach to anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination including rhetoric towards Israel, and attempts to delegitimize Israel such as the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement,"

When you read this, you may think another Hitler is rising in Canada, and anyone who criticizes Israel will be sent to a concentration camp, waiting in a line for Gas chamber.

But in reality only a fool with a big mouth can talk like this; the one who has no idea about social context of Canadian societies, no idea about who Semites are, and no idea why Israel is the first priority in every Canadian foreign policy issue.
