The Real Message of US Missile Attack On Syrian Airbase
Posted On:In the name of Allah, the Merciful to all, the Compassionate
The news of the US missile attack on a Syrian airbase, on April 7, reverberated all over the world. In the early morning in Syria, two destroyers of the US Navy (USS Ross and USS Porter) launched a strike with 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles from the area near Crete Island (Mediterranean Sea) against the Syrian Shayrat Air Base (Homs province). The pretext was a false-flag chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun , attributed to Syrian air force. As always there are lots of details which can keep you busy for days. But there are other points which most people in western countries ignore: The real message other world powers got from this attack, is quite contrary to the intended one. They found that they should lower their estimation of real US military might. That’s a game-changer.
First of all, proving that the chemical attack was not carried by Syrian air force is easy. In the years 2013-2016 the Syrian government undertook all measures to eliminate chemical weapons, its delivery systems, and production facilities. All chemical weapons stocks have been eliminated. The components for their production have been transported from the Syrian Arab Republic to the enterprises of the United States, Finland, Britain, and Germany where they have been destroyed. As the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman stresses, the US missile strike in Syria had been planned in advance, while the chemical weapons incident was used as a pretext.
What you are not going to hear from Western MSM
The Russian Defense Ministry says the US missile strike on a Syrian airfield wasn't very effective, with only 23 out of 59 Tomahawk missiles reaching their target. The locations of the remaining 36 missiles’ impact is now unknown, the ministry added. The runway, taxiways and the Syrian aircraft on the parking apron remained undamaged. The ministry described the combat efficiency of the strike as “quite poor.”
Moreover, all the functioning planes were relocated to other airbases, before attack. Only six non-functional MiG-23 aircrafts in repairing hangars destroyed. In these days, it’s impossible to keep an element of surprise in such attacks. Everybody can intercept military communications and everybody knows the exact location of the navy ships. Even if they miss the communications, the moment a missile is fired, many satellites can detect them, and the target country has at least 30 minutes to retaliate or take some actions to keep the damages down. Moreover, any GPS-based equipment, including Tomahawk missile, is susceptible to GPS spoofing. When only 39% of launched missiles reach their target, it's an indicator of Electronic Warfare.
So we can conclude that the attack was a failure. The cost of missiles was more than what they could target.
The real message other world powers get from this attack
Some say that Trump wants to send a message to Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, and others, that his administration has teeth, and it can bite. But the attack on Syrian airbase was so poor that they will get a message quite opposite of what was intended. When a lion tries to roar and farts louder than his roar, who takes him seriously anymore?
What other world powers may conclude is US military’s capabilities is very distant from what they claim. That puts US in a dangerous situation. In future confrontations, other powers may not hesitate to push the buttons to launch missiles and sink US ships, or target their planes. No one knows in which theater the next war will start, but the moment the first bullets or missiles fired, it’s quite expected that the war to spread to many other areas. For instance Iran, North Korea, and China tolerated the misbehavior of US navy ships in their coastal waters for years. They may stop doing this when their estimation of US navy’s real fire-power to be way lower than what advertised. 20 minutes after the moment they decide to confront, hundreds of US navy ships and aircraft carriers will sink to the bottom of the sea.
The false sense of invincibility fools people in US
People in US do not care if their military engages in another war of aggression. The false belief of people in western countries, especially in US, is in any war, small or big, their military will be the victorious. If the war is unjust or many innocent people are killed, the sweetness of victory will compensate the bitterness of genocide and cruelty to other nations.
This false sentiment is really dangerous.
Because it’s really not the case. The United States is as vulnerable as any other country in the world, and their military might is not as much as they assume. Captain America and all the other super-heroes are just movie characters, and they do not belong to the real world. The pseudo-reality US populace lives in, makes them not to hesitate to do a leap of faith, when they are standing over a cliff and there is nothing worthy of faith.
The real message of yesterday's missile attack on Syrian airbase is the US will lose the next war.
Thanks, very well said. This is the reality coming true very soon if US and his allies don't come to their senses.
